All Powerful Heavenly Father, I come in Jesus’ Name to ask You to direct me to comprehend that human strength is totally inadequate to resist Satan’s attacks. Your power is all I need for complete protection. Show me if there are any weaknesses in my armor where the enemy can get through. Give me wisdom and power to respond effectively to the enemy when I am tempted by His wicked ways. “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil” Ephesians 6: 10- 11. Thank you for giving me, as a believer in Jesus Christ, the following armor:
The Helmet of Salvation, which protects my mind from doubting and gives assurance of God’s saving work. “For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” John 3:16.
The Breastplate of Righteousness, which is the protection of my inner being of self-worth, emotions and mental make up. “My times are in Your hand; deliver me from the hand of my enemies, and those who persecute me, make Your face shine upon Your servant“ Psalm 31:15- 16a.
The Belt of Truth, which allows me to discern the truth from the lies of Satan. “Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free‘” John 8:31-32.
The Shield of Faith, which gives me the perspective to see beyond circumstances and know that ultimate victory will come. “Call to me, and I will answer you , and show you great and mighty things which you do not know” Jeremiah 33:3.
The Sword of the Spirit (the Word of God), which I can use when I need to take ​up the offense against the temptations Satan lays before me. “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart” Hebrews 4:12.
The Feet of the Gospel, which gives me readiness to help spread the good news of the Gospel around the world. “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you” Matthew 28:19-20a.
Thank you for all of this armor and the promise in Isaiah 41:10. “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”
