Second commandment curse as played out in the Bible And a little prophecy
by Monty Spencer Assistant Chaplain Kootenai County Sherriff’s Office
The second commandment Exodus chapter 20:4 “for you shall
not make for yourself a carved image – any likeness of anything
that is in heaven, above or that is in the earth beneath, or that
is in the water under the earth. -v5- you shall not bow down to
them nor serve them. For I the Lord your God, am a jealous God,
visiting the iniquity (which means 1. Wickedness 2. A wicked or
unjust act.) of the fathers upon the children to the third and
fourth generations of those who hate me, -v6- but showing mercy to
thousands to those who love me and keep my Commandments.” (verse 6
is the curse breaker).
Now let’s go to Isaiah chapter 39. This is after
Hezekiah’s prayer to the Lord and the Lord kills 185,000 Syrians
that were going to wipe out Jerusalem, and the Lord told Hezekiah
that he had to get his things together because he was going to
die. So Hezekiah cried out to the Lord with prayer; with real
tears, and the Lord heard his prayer, and gave Hezekiah 15 more
years to live. But remember God hates pride.
Now let’s read Isaiah 39 verse one at that time.
“Merodach, Baladan the son of Baladan king of Babylon, sent
letters and a present to Hezekiah for he heard that he had been
sick and had recovered. -v2 - and Hezekiah was pleased with them,
and showed them the house of his treasures, the silver and gold,
the spices and precious ointment and all his armory that was found
among his treasures. There was nothing in his house or in all his
dominion that Hezekiah did not show them. (kind of like, look at
all the stuff I have guys). -v3- then Isaiah the prophet went to
King Hezekiah and said to him, what did these men say. And from
where did they come to you?” So Hezekiah said they came to me from
a far country, from Babylon. -v4- and he said, what have they seen
in your house? So Hezekiah answered they have seen all that is in
my house, there is nothing among my treasures that I have not
shown them. -v5 – then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, hear the word of
the Lord of hosts. -v6- behold the days are coming when all that
is in your house and what your fathers have accumulated until this
day shall be carried to Babylon, nothing shall be left, says the
Lord. -v7- and they shall take away some of your sons who will
descend from you, whom will beget, and they shall be Eunuchs in
the Palace of the king of Babylon. -v8- so Hezekiah said to
Isaiah, the word of the Lord which you have spoken is good. (Good?
He only cares about himself, not even about his own heirs; his own
blood). For he said at least there will be peace and truth in my
days.” (OK, we just read the second commandment and the curse. Now
let’s see who it falls on?) King Nebuchadnezzar had three
conquests against Jerusalem.
In the first conquest Daniel was taken to Babylon, along
with Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah. In the second conquest, he
took Ezekiel to Babylon, but not in the palace because he had to
be a priest to the people in the 70 years of captivity. On the
third conquest, it is said that Jeremiah chose to remain in the
land of Israel as part of the remanent left behind. The Lord
always leaves a remanent.
Now, let’s look at Daniel chapter 1, that has 20 verses in
it. In these 20 verses In the KJV, NKJV, ASV, ESV and YLT, It says
Eunuch 7 times, in v3, v7, v8, v9, v10, v11 and v18. Know if you
read the NIV, GNT, NLT and some other Bibles, you won’t find
Eunuchs even mentioned in Daniel, so if you have one of these
Bibles the Holy Spirit can’t even put together the curse in the
second commandment. In Exodus chapter 20 relate to Isaiah 39 and
Daniel one. The reader must know a little history that is in the
palace of any kings of old; that no man could live in the palace
who is able to reproduce children and spoil the kings seed which
would be in Nebuchadnezzar’s palace. Now after three years of
being trained, they were ready to enter the Kings service, then
the story of the kings dreams, the story of the fiery furnace, the
king Nebuchadnezzar’s attitude adjustment for seven years eating
grass, then Nebuchadnezzar himself got to write some scriptures in
the book of Daniel. By the time you get to Chapter 8 and all the
visions, you’ll understand the book of Daniel is not in
chronological order. So when Daniel and his friends were at the
river fasting and praying for 21 days, you would know the exact
year when all things will end. But we don’t know. We know the span
of years it would happen if we had 1290 days and 1335 days to
gather we get 2625. If you put those days into years and subtract
606 BC, the year most people think he, Daniel, was taken to
Babylon by Nebuchadnezzar you will answer 2019. From what I have
read they think he, Daniel died about 535 BC. If you subtract 535
from 2625 you get 2090. So if you knew the exact year Daniel was
at the river with his friends you would know the end of the
tribulation. Just remember in Daniel chapter 12 verse five then I
Daniel looked, and there are two others one on this river bank and
the other on that river bank. V6 - and one said to the man clothed
in linen, Who was above the waters of the river, how long shall
the fulfillment of these wonders be (now most scholars believe it
is Jesus himself standing in the waters of the river, and the two
who are on each bank are angels). Verse seven then I heard the man
clothed in linen who was above the waters of the river when he
held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven and swore by
him who lives forever that it shall be for a time, times, and a
half time, (that I believe is 3500 years. Time=1000 years, Times =
2000 years, and a half time = 500 years). And with the power of
the holy people has been completely shattered, all these things
shall be finished. (I believe this is after the great tribulation
and after the thousand year reign of Christ, and after Satan is
turned loose again) it says in Revelation 20 (what I can see how
people today may reject Christ because they can’t see him, because
you have to have faith to see him.) but the thousand years he is
here on earth with us they can see him and at the end of the 1000
years, Satan is turned loose, they are some who will join Satan to
fight against Christ, it’s hard to believe that, but true. Now
back to Daniel 12:8 although I heard I did not understand, then I
said, my lord what shall be the end of these things? Jesus told
the angel or whoever was on the bank of the river, it would be for
a time, times, and a half time. But Daniel 12:10 many shall be
purified and made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do
wickedly, and none of the wicked shall understand but the wise
shall understand. (The Lord does not lie. Knowing Jesus and
helping others is the rent that we pay on earth for our room in
heaven.)
