BELOVED, I WISH ABOVE ALL THINGS

BELOVED, I WISH ABOVE ALL THINGS
“Beloved, I wish above all things that you mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” 3 John 2
We know that John wrote this epistle but we need to be able to grasp that these are words and thoughts from the very heart of God. He wrote under the guidance and leadership of the Holy Spirit. Praise God we can rest assured that this is the wish of God for all of us. The Lord spoke to me years ago that all of our politicians will use this same wish for their main foundation in running for office. Their wisdom and operation very seldom line up with God’s wisdom and implantation.
We can observe the life of Jesus that it was His every day walk to bring forth the wish of God for all of those He met. It is interesting to observe that He personally walked in poverty so that we can now walk in riches. 2 Corinthians 8:9 Maybe we should read this verse now –
“For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.”
He was also made sick and carried all of our diseases to the cross. By His stripes we are healed. Glory!
What we must all do is to believe what God is telling us and do whatever we need to do to make sure it is carried out in our lives. Jesus came forth to give us life in abundance, but the devil comes forth to kill, steal and destroy us. Kill and steal. We must exercise the given authority from our Lord to stand against the devil when he come around to destroy us.
The most important thing that we must do is to have a love relationship with our Lord and Savior along with our Heavenly Father. Ruby and I just had a cup of coffee over at Starbucks. Years ago while living out in the country with our four sons we would go to our swing in the back yard almost every afternoon and relax with each other. The boys wanted to join us but we would not allow them for this special moment that we had set aside just for ourselves. We got a kick out of observing the boys getting as close as we would allow them to. The Lord loves to wait for us to show up for a special moment with Him as often as we choose. When we were in Ariel, Israel at the mini golf I loved to hear the kids holler at their dads. Abba, Abba, Abba.
“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, ‘Abba, Father.’ The Spirit Himself bears witness with our sprits that we are children of God.” Romans 8:14-16
