You Were Born for This!

Esther 4:14New Living Translation (NLT)

13 Mordecai sent this reply to Esther: “Don’t think for a moment that because you’re in the palace you will escape when all other Jews are killed. 14 If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?”

Ester is caught in the middle; whether or not to risk what appears to be certain death by interrupting the King unannounced, or wait for the annihilation of the Jews to begin as ordered and see if Mordecai had another plan.

Mordecai responds to her with this only hope, that maybe SHE was brought into the kings house for this time by the providence of God…she was!

As we look at the beginning of another year we too must wonder what the world holds for God’s people. Jews are under attack as they have not been for a long time – with no other power of the world willing to stand up for them.

Christians too, in this country, face increased pressure to remain silent in the face of moral issues that challenge the practice of their faith. In other parts of the world being a Christian brings persecution, beatings, imprisonment, or a death sentence.

Outside of the faith, problems loom. The United States faces massive debt, social chaos with deep divisions over race and religion and status.

The world at large reads like biblical prophecy with natural disasters and war and the brink of global financial collapse; immorality and people who turn a deaf and dumb ear to the issues.

It’s a mess out there folks…

But just maybe you were brought into God’s kingdom for just such a time as this! Maybe you are part of God’s providence – maybe you have a place in biblical prophecy – just maybe if you take the risk and speak up some may be saved. You’re certain to fail if you don’t.

God has a plan and it WILL come to pass. The only question being “Will you join the plan?”

If you remain quiet God’s plan will not be thwarted and all that has been prophesied will transpire. But what turns this mess from tragedy to triumph for you personally is merely to see the opportunity and seize it. The thing that turns the tide from fear to hope is the recognition that God is not surprised at the events of today, and in fact has readied His people to witness miraculous things.

God has indeed brought you here for this time. It doesn’t matter how you interpret prophetic scripture or what you think of the rapture, God has a place for you in the midst of it all. It’s truly an exciting time to be alive for those who look forward to Christ’s appearing.

Israel is in Her land and preparing to face the world alone…though She is not alone (wink). The Church is being prepared, as the disapproval of the world increases, to shine in the darkest of times…and this is the times you were born for.

Mark 13:29 “…when you see all these things taking place, you can know that his return is very near, right at the door.”

Luke 21:28 “ But when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”
