NIReturn to Lord!

Shall the United States have a prophet to call her back to the Lord? For she was established in faith, faith in Jesus Christ. This was the beginning of the United States as a country. Now we have fallen from the beautiful state of grace and we are floundering under many useless beliefs. Shall the United States have a prophet to call her back to grace? Shall we have a prophet like Elijah to challenge our false gods of human works (1 Kings 18:20). Will no one call together the people to separate out the false god from our thoughts and our words? Shall there not be a purification by fire? Elijah speaks, “How long will you falter between two opinions? If the Lord is God follow Him; but if Baal, follow him”. The challenge to the church today is the same, “If the Lord is God follow Him”. Do not mix your true beliefs with false. Do not contaminate your faith so that it fails and then assign the fault to God. Purify your thoughts. Pick up your bibles and read and believe. In Romans 12:2, Paul says, “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God”. The citizen’s of the United States have become weak and flabby in their prosperity. Their spirits have not grown strong in the Lord buy have become bloated with the imaginations of the world. Imaginations that say; Your money is the sum of your worth. Your accomplishments are the sum of your worth. Your philanthropy is the sum of your worth. Your work is the sum of your worth, and if you work hard enough and believe hard enough you can do anything. Without Christ directing all of our actions and thoughts they will not be worth spit! In 1 Corinthians 3:13, Paul states, “each one’s work will become clear, for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is.” So church listen up, and take stock of your life, for a mighty change has crashed upon our nation. Line up your accounts and consider your actions. “And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.” Romans 13: 11-13 The prophet Elijah’s words call out still. They call from Mt. Carmel and from the pages of the Bible, and they are coupled beautifully with the words of Paul. The call was given, and given again and again. It is given repeatedly for we tend toward laziness and ease in times of gentleness and prosperity, we should not forget that we are easily lulled to sleep by the enemy, so we must guard against it. The battle swirls around us still, and if we open our eyes and soak in His word we will remember our way back to His side. We will remember the battle and we will remember His incredible presence and love. Have you forgotten the warmth of the touch of His Spirit. Return, return to His tenderness and mercy.
