Shutting the blood
by Homer Owens
SHEDDING OUR BLOOD FOR HEALTH PURPOSES
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the
Lord and in the power of His might. Put
on the whole armor of God, that you may be
able to stand against the wiles of the
devil. For we do not wrestle against
flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against
the rulers of the darkness of this age,
against spiritual hosts of wickedness in
the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:10-12
About six weeks ago I found myself feeling
a great deal better out on the golf
course. For the first time in years I
found myself not getting tired after
spending almost five hours on the course.
I was very thankful to the Lord and He
shared with me how excited He was when
Jesus laid down His life and shed His
blood for mankind.
For the first time in years I went to a
blood donor facility and gave a pint of
blood. The Lord shared with me that He
was pleased in my giving my blood for
mankind like He was with Jesus and brought
Him forth in newness of life. “Homer, I
am very pleased to give you newness of
life like I did Jesus when He offered all
of His blood for mankind.” Thus saith the
Lord.
I have been mediating at great deal of
how much Christ was willing to be
crucified for all mankind. He gave all of
His blood on the cross. In Ephesians 2 we
are told in verse 13 that we have been
brought near by the blood of Christ.
Isn’t it amazing that we can go and offer
our blood for all mankind and believe that
our blood will bring forth newness of life
in the person that receives our blood.
Peter tells us that our inheritance that
is incorruptible and undefiled and does
not fade away, reserved in heaven for us.
Glory!
Peter tells us also that we need to humble
ourselves and after we have suffered a
little bit in the same suffering of Christ
we may expect to be established and
strengthened like our Savior was on the
third day after His shedding his blood.
Let me encourage you to go and share your
blood for mankind and to acknowledge His
love for you here on the earth.
Blessings dear one. Homer Owen
