The End of the World?

The End of the World? www.threesixteenfamily.com December 21, 2012, what was expected to be the end of the world, was a failed prediction. Even though this date was very popular among the public, this was not the first time someone tried to predict the end. Thinking not too long ago, Harold Camping predicted the world would end on May 21, 2011, along with his second prediction, October 21, 2011, which had also failed. How about a bit further back? Harry Walter predicted that the rapture would occur on June 2, 2006, along with the anti-Christ rising four days later. Once more, we go back, when January 1, 2000 would be Y2K. This was a prediction that all technology ceased, ruining lives. What really happened was that everyone just went on with their normal lives. If the world did not end in 2012, then when will it end? Interesting question, but nobody except God knows. Not even Jesus knew, until his ascension into Heaven. Is there ANY possible way to predict the end? No, because God says that no human or angel will know. If nobody is supposed to know, then do not even try to calculate or predict the end. Of course, God has a reason to withhold this information. The reason would be that most humans would try to snake their way to Heaven. What do I mean by this? If people knew the date and time, they would take their time to sin and wait until the last minute to confess and repent for their sins. If we do not know when Jesus comes, then this gives God a chance to see if we are obeying him, like a test. Jesus states in Matthew 24: 36 “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.” If we do not know, then how will we be ready? The answer is, be always ready. God will come on an unexpected date, a day that no person knows. It will be like an ambush, or how the Bible puts, “a thief in the night”. “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.”II Peter 3:10 False prophecy is a sin against God, with no exception. False prophecy confuses other people and actually, helps Satan accomplish what he wants. Like the old saying, you snooze, you lose. Do not be caught unprepared when God comes, because it will be the predictor’s AND the lost one’s fault. “Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.”Matthew 15:14 In the end, man will be left clueless when the world will end. Only God knows when the world will end. Do not worry about when the world will end, but worry whether one is worthy of God. “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.” Hebrews 12:14 The only thing a believer can do is be ready for the end, because we will never know when it will happen. The main things to remember are that predicting the end is considered false prophecy and that one should always be prepared for that ambush. “Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.” II Peter 3: 17-18 Jay Christian Huynh - 14 years old 25/12/2012 All Scriptures are quoted from the Holy Bible – King James Version
